All of us, as we move through life, tell a multiple of stories to ourselves and others about our history. It is through our self-stories that we have developed a sense of who we are. However, when a problem arises we find that our story no longer feels right. Trauma or unhappy past experiences can have an impact on how you relate to others, how you think about yourself and how you function in the world. My aim is to help you resolve past issues so you can find the opportunities and solutions that are right for you. I work holistically and is informed by various 'talking therapies' including,Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Narrative, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural, Existential, Attachment theory and Body Psychotherapy. However, not everyone can connect with and express their feelings and emotions with words right away. On those occasions I use a range of creative options to help.
We can discuss the length of time you would feel comfortable committing to counselling and build our work around an agreed number of sessions which can be reviewed at any time. I offer long-term face-to-face work, short-term face-to-face work, and time-limited.
